Cambiando - a 9-piece modern salsa band based Cambridge, UK. The band (formed 2001) plays an awesome mix of exciting, sensual and hypnotic salsa.
Cambiando re-create authentic Cuban salsa wherever they play. Combining fiery rhythmic melodies and latin grooves they will inspire you to move.
The group satisfies the salsa dancers with up-tempo hypnotic montunos and dramatic percussion while maintaining musical interest through the emphatic individual solos from each of the band members.
 The full band consists of a three piece horn section (trombone,flute,trumpet and various flavours of saxes) together with a full vocal line up of soloists and coros (backing singers), all over a percussion section of congas, timbales, keyboard and bass. Playing styles from son montuno to songo, timba to merengue, mambo to bomba - Cambiando take you on a musical tour of the Carribean.
So you want a lively up-beat, danceable band - but perhaps nobody at your party dances salsa. No problem. There are no rules for dancing to Cambiando - but if you want an impromptu lesson we would be happy to give one!
Cambiando play a variety of venues and types of events. We organise our own, so keep you eyes peeled to this website or join the email list.
